It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael Storer in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, James Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton C. Storer and Helen M. Storer (Cobb). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte M. (Manhart) of Knoxville, TN; his son James M. Storer, Jr. of Toledo, OH; his granddaughter Jenna M. Storer of Columbus, OH; and his siblings, Claire M. Nofsinger (Storer) of Marietta, GA and Allen E. Storer of Rowlett, TX. He is also survived by brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home and Cremations Farragut Chapel (11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
