We announce the death of Janet Ruth Greene (Knoxville, Tennessee), who passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her father J. B. Koontz; her daughter Cynthia Diane Greene; her mother Irene Sise Koontz; her siblings, Roy "Bud" Koontz (Barbara), J. D. Bright (Shirley), Patricia Ann Hickey and Janice Roop; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Koontz and Shirley Bright.
She is survived by: her sons, Karl Thomas Greene and Scott Greene (Melissa); her sister Sarah Allison (Lowell); her brothers-in-law, Earl Roop and Benny Hickey; her granddaughter Whitney Nicole Justice (Nick); her great grandchildren, AbiGrace, Emma and Noa; and her nieces and nephews, Paige Walker (David), Whitney Mauldin (Mark), Joy Marie, Judy Kay, Tammy, Tracy, Pete Brady, Matthew Brady, Greg Allison (Brandi) and Jamie Roop (Jennifer). She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
