He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Vaught; his children, Andi Powell (Doug), Nick Vaught (Melani) and Chris Vaught; his grandchildren, Shade Powell, Staley, Cale Vaught and Nora Vaught; and his siblings, Brenda Johnson (Joe), Sandra Vaught, Gary Vaught and Tim Vaught (Sharon). He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
