She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Burchfield and Naomi Burchfield; her husband Dr. E. Dewey Thomas; and her siblings, Rhea Copeland (James) and Sue Bagwell (Ross).
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Crutcher (Pepper), Gwyn Spencer (Bill), Patricia Gilbert (John) and Dana Berry (Stephen); and her grandchildren, Bo Crutcher (Nicole), Sarah Catherine Morrow (Michael), Emily Young (Rob), Caroline Lay (Will), David Spencer (Carlie), John Thomas Gilbert, Grace Gilbert, Ann Rees Berry and Stephen Berry Jr.. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren (so far) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
