He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gorghis and Mildred Gorghis Caddell; his brothers, David Gorghis, James Gorghis and Phillip Gorghis; and his stepson Bill York.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Gorghis; his children, Kristina Lusby (Kevin) and John Evan Gorghis; his sisters, Elaine Simms (Bob) and Mary Gorghis; his granddaughter Valerie Burns (Bill); and his stepchildren, Spence King (Pamela), Robin York, Jason Givens, Summer York and Faith York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
