He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Elder and Lynda Elder. He is survived by : his wife Nancy; his children, Hannah and Evan; his sister Laura Brewer; his brother-in-law Peter; his mother-in-law Jerry Smith; and his nieces, Sarah and Rachel Rice.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Joe and Nancy's children, Hannah and Evan Elder.
