With sadness, we share the passing of Larry Glenn Caughorn of Knoxville, Tennessee. Larry, born on May 25, 1951, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Vic and Vernie Caughorn; his brothers, Windle John Robert Whitehead, Charles Earnest Caughorn, Claude Edward Caughorn and Leslie Clemith Caughorn; his brother-in-law Harvey "Ray" Ayers; and his mother-in-law Virginia Knight Ayers.
He is survived by: his wife Glenna Caughorn; his sister Pansy Caughorn Houston; his sons, Ryan Caughorn (LeighAnn Theobald) and Kevin Glenn Caughorn; his stepdaughter Diane Ledford; and his grandsons, Corey Glenn Caughorn and Brett Ledford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home (7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Follow Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
