He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn Henson Cooper; his daughter FaNee Lynn Cooper; and his parents, Jasper Cooper and Hester Ann Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Kristy Cooper Carter and Leo James Cooper, Jr. (Laurin); his grandchildren, Casey Carter, Donnie Carter (Ali), Leo James Cooper, III (Trey), Kirsten and Avery Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Leah Carter and Briley Brumley.
