He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm H. Murphy and Juanita Murphy; and his brothers, Walter T. Murphy and Richard D. Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Alma Emory Murphy; his sibling's children, Cristy Vanover, Misty Watkins, Kristin Ragland, Tammy Emory, Joe Graham, Jimmy Graham, Charles Graham, Robert Graham and Billy Joe Emory; and his caregiver Tasha Davis.
