He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Dodd Bailey and Eloise Harbison Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Irwin Bailey; his children, Carrie Givens (Jerry), Renee Quillin (David) and Lindsey Sams (Aaron); his grandchildren, Ella Givens, Emmett Sams, Bailey Quillin, Oliver Givens, Clancy Quillin and Paxton Sams; and his brothers, John Douglas Bailey and Ernie Bailey (Chris). He is also survived by family members, including beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and neighbors.
The military honors will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
