Nellie Mae Sharp Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nellie Mae Sharp of Knoxville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her stepfather Kenneth Edward Branam Sr.; her daughter Krista Lashay Walker; and her siblings, Jackie Lynn Dawson and Cindy Lea Ellison. She is survived by: her mother Mary Lou Branam; her children, James Howard Sharp II, Robert Daniel Eugene Sharp and Elizabeth Mary Lea Walker; her brothers, Danny Jay Branam Sr. and Kenneth Edward Branam Jr.; and her grandchildren, Alyssa Rhiannon Tazlynn Walker, Nathaniel Christopher Keen, Elijah Walker, Kaylee Conner, John Mark Conner, Braelynn Walker and Emily Rose Sharp. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Walker Cemetery in Sharps Chapel.
