She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. Frye and Mary Evelyn Frye; her brothers, Harold C. Frye Jr. and Oscar Spears Frye; her daughter Lisa Seay Kitts; and her granddaughter Miranda.
She is survived by: her siblings, Charlie Frye (Cathy) and Mary Ward; and her daughters, Rhonda Seay Smudrick (Wayne) and Kathy Seay Green (Nay). She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Community Bible Church (2112 Choto Rd, Knoxville, TN 37922). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Phyllis was a victim of the Covid pandemic and suffered greatly for four years from the lasting effects of Covid.
