He was predeceased by: his wife Dale Coffey; his son David Coffey; his parents, Merrell Coffey and Carrie Coffey; and his siblings, Leland Braun, Gary Coffey and Tina Braun (Marie Coffey).

He is survived by: his children, Larry Frank Coffey and Joy Beth Coffey; his daughter-in-law Shawn Simpson; his grandchildren, Emily Halbrook, John Coffey, Eric and Kate Faulkner; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Nagrocki and Jaxson Dykes.
