He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Shultz and Shirl Shultz; his stepmother Ruby Shultz; his sister Kay; his siblings-in-law, Max Posey and Rhonda Shultz; his nephew Matthew Posey; and his parents-in-law, Margie and Tommy Petty.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Shultz; his daughter Courtney Shultz; his siblings, Ernie Shultz and Sue Kear (Larry); and his siblings' children, Sandy Shultz, Brian Shultz, Andrew Shultz, Heather Messer (Eli), Jonathan Shultz (Jennifer), Audie Kear (Mae), Alice Elkins (Mike), Michael Posey (Amy) and Mark Posey (Cody).
