With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rue Dougherty of Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Jefferson, Colorado, who passed away on June 9, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Driscoll O. Lawson and Eva Alford Lawson (Alford); her husband Richard C. Dougherty; and her sisters, Mary Edna Lawson Drinnon and Jane Lawson Fleming.
She is survived by: her nieces, Rebecca Pickens (David) and Karen Zanis (Mike); her great-nephew James Bryon Pickens; and her great-niece Mary-Claire Morris Pickens.
