With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Evelyn Hendrickson of Knoxville, Tennessee. Ruth, born on April 7, 1945, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" Hendrickson; her daughter Mildred Louise Amburn; her parents, Oscar Strahan and Nannie Strahan; and her siblings, Della Strahan, Riley Strahan, Phillip Strahan and Dwight Strahan.
She is survived by: her son Charles Amburn II (Shelly); her grandchildren, Terry Hathaway, Aiden Belcher, Charles Amburn III and Saige Amburn; her great grandchild Mason Hathaway; and her sister Gwen Ford (Carl). She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (3200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919).
