With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara C Lewis of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Sara's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Sara's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Hariette and Lewis Edward Braswell, Jr.; and her husband John Mack Lewis, Sr. (Jimmie). She is survived by: her children, Sara Jennifer Earp (late Rodney) of Clayton, NC and John Mack Lewis, Jr. (Donna) of Maryville, TN; her brothers, Luther Carol Braswell (late Debbie) of Waxhaw, NC and Lewis Edward Braswell, III (Karen) of Charleston, SC; and her grandchildren, Sara Caitlin Earp of Kannapolis, NC and William Scott Earp of Smithfield, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Happy Valley Memorial Park (2708 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, TN 37601).
