He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Meredith ('Jeff') Almonrode and Johnnie (Teeple) Almonrode; wife: Carol Marie Wade; children: Karen Sue Stair (Parker), Julie Ann Quinn (Mark), Sandra Gail (deceased), and Alan Thomas; grandchildren: Clayton William Quinn (Jamie), Kathleen Terese Raymer (Michael), Sierra Grace Stair, and Logan Stair; great-grandchildren: Zoey Rae Quinn and Lily Ann Raymer; grandparents: Sydney and Etchel Ledbetter; son-in-law: Mark Quinn (deceased); 2 brothers and 3 sisters (deceased).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church of Bearden (6400 Deane Hill Dr, Knoxville, TN 37919). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Just before the pandemic, Tom & Carol lost their 3rd daughter, Sandra Gail to pneumonia after fighting a long battle with Lupus and Cancer.
