He is survived by: his mother Shirley Murrell; his siblings, Blandford "Skip" Murrell Jr. (Cathryn), Anne Hankins (Hoyle) and Kathryn Zechman; his children, Ashley Earle (Josh) and Thomas "TJ" Murrell Jr. (Morgan); his grandchildren, Caden, Riley and Noel; and his close friends, Anna Emory and Frank Ward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
