With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willene Rush Chalmers of Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Willene Rush shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Willene Rush farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Rush (Barnard) and Sherman Rush. She is survived by: her daughter Susan R. Ewing; her husband Dr. Bruce Alan Ewing; her grandchildren, Dorian Reed Ewing and Christoph Aleksandr Ewing; her nieces, Lisa Spainhower (Thomas Gregg), Rowena (Michael Pelczynski) and Jessica Wood (Ray Miller); and her pet Misty.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. John's Cathedral or the Knoxville Symphony League.
