He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hook and Leonora Van Hook; and his daughter Anne Marie. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ashton; his sons, Mark (Cheri) and Jonathan (Tracey); his grandchildren, James (Ruby), Caroline, Eleanor and Andrew; and his siblings, Jane, Andrew "Buck", Sue and Leonora.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knoxville Catholic Charities.
