He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Spires and Ruth Spires; his siblings, Bruce, Lonny, Warren Spires, Jimmie Ruth Williams, Mary Sigman and Regina Sue Haun; and his nephews, Robbie Spires and James Long.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Spires; his children, Jeannie Ramsey (Shaun), William Howard Spires, Jr. and Roy Wilson; his siblings, Robert Spires (Sandy) and Elaine Hancock (Norman); his grandchildren, Brooklyn Capps (Bradley), Marissa, Brianna, Haley and Alex Spires; and his great grandchildren, Emory, Camden, Ivy, Leighton, Landon, Ayden and Amoura.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
