He is survived by: his wife Anna; his children, Mike (Vandy), Alan (Abby) and Mindy Peters (Boyd); his grandchildren, Kristin Elliott (Paul), Wesley (Katherine), Kelly Brooks (Evan), Melissa Adams (Matt), Jordan (Kelsey), Travis Peters (Brittany) and Josh Peters (Kara); and his sister Kathy Sharp. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A burial will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Sumter Community Cemetery (4846 Salem Church Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938).
