He was predeceased by: his father Johnny David; and his brother David Allen Grinstead. He is survived by: his siblings, Rick Grinstead (Rhonda) of Supply, NC, Angela Udart (Glenn) of Woodford, VA and Chris Grinstead (Christa) of Cumming, GA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
