He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Lockee and Lula Bell Lockee; his former wife Billie Jean Bobo Lockee; and his siblings, Otto, Archie and Georgia.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Storm Lockee; his child Jean Chesno (Frank); his grandchildren, Betsy Grier (Barron), Gary Chesno (Dawn) and Suzie Steed (James); his great grandchildren, Conley, Barron, Ava and Chandler; his stepsons, David (Kim), Nathaniel and Christopher (Michelle); his stepgrandchildren, Tim, Nicholas Storm, Ellie, Grant, Ian, Graham and Sarah; his sisters, Sylvia and Joyce; Blair.
Gary was one of the founders of the Bird Dog Foundation, which is established in Grand Junction, TN along with the National Bird Dog Museum, the Field Trial Hall of Fame, the Wild Life Heritage Center and the National Retrievers Museum.
