He was predeceased by : his parents, James Garfield and Mary Frances Johnson Lancaster; and his siblings, David, George Allen, Mary Ann Parks, Christine Polson and Mary Elizabeth Woodard.

He is survived by : his wife Dovie A Osborne Lancaster; his children, James Lancaster (Camielia), Brenda (Carl), Harold Lancaster and Wanda (Keith); and his brother Bobby Jean Lancaster (Linda). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
