In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Mary Frances had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Mary Frances may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Merritt; her daughter Terri Carter; and her parents, Luther Davenport and Arvie Davenport (Jenkins). She is survived by: her children, Mark Merritt (Kim), Bill Merritt (Tammy) of Land O' Lakes, FL, Aubrey Merritt (Tammy) of Hendersonville and Susie Worrell (Gary) of Lafayette. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, & numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home & Memorial Park - Lafayette (997 Hwy 52 E, Lafayette, TN 37083). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens (353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075).
