He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Arendt and Eleanor Arendt; and his siblings, Kenneth Arendt and Ruth Lula. He is survived by: his wife Mary Arendt; his children, Dayna Heath (Dennis), Kenneth Joe Arendt (Jennifer Marie) and J. P. Arendt; his grandchildren, Jessica, Sawyer, Dawson, Logan, Tristan and Delaney; his great grandchildren, McKenna, Bentley and Loyal; and his sister Joyce Harrell.
