He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Nelson and Tensie Nelson; his wife Para Lee Nelson; his grandsons, Johnny Ray Draughn, Josh and Matthew Harding; his brother James Nelson; and his daughter Karen Harding.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Pierce and Joey Nelson (Mary).
