He is survived by: his wife Margaret Heatherly Shears; and his children, Loretta Henegar (Clifford), Deborah King (Roger), Charles E. Shears (Brenda), Gary (Yvonne Shears), Billy (Karen Shears) and Randall (Denise Hayes). He is also survived by Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cross-Smith Funeral Home (300 E Central Ave, LaFollette, TN 37766).
