We announce the death of Emma Jean Woodson of Lafollette, Tennessee, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Emma will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Emma’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband H. Y. Woodson; her parents, James Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Parker Sharp; and her siblings, Opal Martha Sharp Stittums and Noble (Sharp, Sr.).
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Pemberton (Danny); her granddaughters, Cynthia Woods (Greg) and Elizabeth Paul (Matt); her great grandchildren, Emalynn Woods and Lydia Paul; and her brother James Robert Sharp (Wanda). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin Wilson Funeral Home (305 E Beech St, LaFollette, TN 37766). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Campbell Memorial Gardens (145 Dossett Ln, Jacksboro, TN 37757).
