John Henry Steakley Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Henry Steakley (Lafollette, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John Henry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Henry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gross Steakley; his sons, Clifford and Jeffery Steakley; and his parents, Jack Steakley and Cora Perkey Steakley.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa (Daniel McNeeley) and Johnny (Elbert Steakley); and his siblings, Hubert Steakley, Mary Bell Rollow, Vickie Lloyd, Nancy Salyers and Diane Steakley Catania.
