It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Franklin of Lafollette, Tennessee, who passed away on October 14, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Carl W. Martin; her parents, Rev. Glenn W. Franklin and Rev. Mary Ellen Franklin; her grandparents, Garlend, Rev. Beulah Franklin and Flossie McCullah; her parents-in-law, Albert Martin and Evelyn Story Martin; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Franklin and Cindy Ellis.

She is survived by: her siblings, Rev. Michael Franklin (Sharon), Rev. Bobby Franklin (late Patricia), Rev. Rachel Jones (Wayne) and Sharon Ruth Shepherd (Darrell); her brothers-in-law, Tony Martin (Sue) and Craig Martin (Leisha); her siblings' children, Amanda Terry (Chris), Michael C. Franklin (Shanna), Aaron West (Haley Collins), Amber Moore (Travis), Audie Ellis (Betsy) and Crystal Gibson; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Raegan Hatfield, Braelynn Skye Franklin, Garrison Sampsel, Jaxton Sampsel, Michael David Franklin, Oaklynn Grace West, Ryker Glenn West, Lily Jane Moore, Braylen Moore and Declon Moore. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walters Funeral Home - LaFollette (509 E Central Ave, LaFollette, TN 37766). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the House of Prayer and Praise (691 Pleasant Ridge Rd, LaFollette, TN 37766).
