He is survived by: his wife Veronica Hakala of LaFollette; his daughters, Tanya Hakala of Annapolis and Kelly Hakala of Auburn, Massachusetts; and his siblings, Henry "Hank" Hakala of Worcester and Shari Hakala Labovites of Worcester, Massachusetts.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
