She was predeceased by: her father Curt Brandenburg; and her sister Debbie Campbell. She is survived by: her husband James Wendell Ayers; her son Kevin Ayers (Kila Chantal); her grandson Daniel Wayne Ayers; her stepgrandchildren, Jordan Metcalf, Shalun Daniels and Mattea King; her stepgreat-grandson Greyson King; her mother Vollena Brandenburg; her siblings, Peggy Ayers (Darrell), Franklin Brandenburg (Lisa), Larry Brandenburg (Tracy), DeWayne Brandenburg and Don Bruce (Beverly); and her close friends, Tammy Bostic and Brenda Weaver.
