She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Frank and Edna Bell Wright Lay; and her siblings, Luther Lay, Esaw Lay, Ovie Lay, Mildred Bolton, Christine Lay and Lucy Lay.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lora Hale and Sharon Slover; and the father of her children Bufford Sexton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
