He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Hughes and Bernice Hughes (King); and his brothers, Eddie Hughes and Wayne Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Hughes (David Maynard) and Sam Hughes; his grandchildren, Isaac Maynard and Lanee Maynard; his siblings, Bill Hughes, Brenda Byrd, Margie Williamson (Kenneth) and Sharon Franklin (Mike); Sharon Hughes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
