He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Harness and Dellie Harness; his wife Emma Jane (Janie); his children, Jeanie, Jason and Dobie; and his grandchildren, Luke Cox, Anna Braden, Brandon Harness, Samantha Harness, Olivia Harness, Sidney Bishop, Isaac Bishop, Jacob Harness, Kade Aslinger, Avianna Manning, Jayden Harness, Ryland Harness, Kyson Harness, Max Harness, Shiloh Binion, Dillon Harness, Rhett Crappell, Xavier Harness and Aurora Harness. He was also cherished by best friends, brother, and sister-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Laurel Grove Baptist Church (205 Rockhouse Ln, Briceville, TN 37710). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
