He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Jones (Red) and Lora B. Jones; his spouse Bennie Lee Smith; and his siblings, Keith Jones, Albert Jones, Bill Jones, Paul Jones, Jack Jones, Bernice Jones, Farice Rhea Richburg, Oliver (Willa Bell Pinson), Jimmy (Mildred Smith) and Roy (Patricia Smith).
He is survived by: his son Don Jones (Amy); his grandchildren, Fontana Jones (Kevin Moritz) and Holly Jones; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Price and Levi Moritz; his brothers, Carson Davis, J. B. (Shirley Smith), Harold Smith, Ronnie (Phyllis Jordan), Kenneth (Deannie Wiggins) and David (Ida King); his friend Pat Branson; and also, Eric, Bryan and Ed Carlton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
