He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Paxton; his son-in-law Micah Hancock; his children, Janet Paxton of Oak Ridge, Jeff (Deane Paxton), Carol (Ronnie Diden), Annie (Ray Gardner), Greg (Jane Paxton), Anitra Hancock of Lancing and Jeremy (Jessica Paxton); his grandchildren, Rob, Amanda, Jake, Connie, Jason, Joni, Dusty, Kayla, Chelsea, Katherine, Will, Jared, Nathaniel, Ethan, Joe, Abby, Eli and Lily; and his sister Mona Grace Wilks of Lancing.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (211 Old Mill Rd, Wartburg, TN 37887). Viewing was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kubley Cemetery (414 Shady Grove Rd, Lancing, TN 37770).
