He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Travis and Mertis Elois Garrard Mayfield; his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" Clifton Mayfield; and his brothers, Pete Mayfield, Allen Mayfield and Harold Mayfield.
He is survived by: his children, Joey Mayfield (Mary Beth) of Summertown, TN, Michelle King (John) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Gina Smith (Tommy) of Leoma, TN; and his sister Janice Mayfield of Lawrenceburg, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (231 N Military Ave, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to Crewstown Church of Christ.
