He is survived by: his wife Wanda Mabry Ezell; his daughters, Karen Ezell Smelser (Jim) of Huntsville, AL and Donna Ezell Rains (late Michael) of Collierville, TN; his grandsons, Andrew (Lauryn), Ryan Smelser of Huntsville, AL, Connor Smelser of Atlanta, GA, Colin Rains (Menzie) of Atlanta, GA and Kyle Rains of Baton Rouge, LA; his great grandchildren, Emery and Eli Smelser of Atlanta, GA.; and his brother Gerald (late Mary Nell) of Lawrenceburg.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens (2951 US-43, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464).
