He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fagan Hampton and Annie Elizabeth Head Hampton; his wife Doris Hampton; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Houston Hampton; his sister Juanita Keener; and his nephew Randy Hampton.
He is survived by: his children, Charles "Wade" Hampton Jr., Wendy Eldridge (Steve) and Tara Shelton (Harley); his grandchildren, Riley Shelton, Bo Hampton, Wyatt Shelton and Claire Hampton; his brother Thomas "Tommy" Hampton (Dean); his nephew Tony Hampton (Evelyn); and his nieces, Lori Whitehead and Anita Himes (Chad). He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home (501 W Gaines St, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God's Storehouse at 425 Franke St., Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
