He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Gray and Dora Gray; his daughter Sharon Kilpatrick; his brother J. D. Gray; and his sister-in-law Cathy Dollar.
He is survived by: his wife Tonya Garner Gray; his children, Charles Gray (Theresa), Rhonda Risner and Reathia Horne (Dewayne); his stepchildren, April Clabaugh (David), Angel Cummings (Jeff) and Terry Richardson (Carolyn); his sister Daphine Lopp (George); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Opal Garner; his brother-in-law David Garner (Michaela); his grandchildren, Thomas Gray, Tiffany Nagle, Parion Corbitt (Erick), Brittany Gray, Ivy Bostick, Brandie Massey, Blake Ray, Nancy Harris, Jamie Newton, Cherika Kilpatrick Pierce, Lucas Kilpatrick and Chandler Norwood; and his stepgrandchildren, Logan Clabaugh, Wesley Clabaugh, Liam Cummings, Lilly Cummings, Kylie Richardson and Tatum Richardson. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, and one step great grandchild.
