He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Harris and Elizabeth Harris; and his brother Dorris Harris. He is survived by: his wife Faye Harris; his children, Robbie Timbs (Angelene), Connie Timbs (Monica Stone) and Michael Timbs (Lisa); his grandchildren, Joey Timbs, Jeremy Timbs (Alyssa), Triston Timbs (Erin) and Jake Timbs; his siblings, Johnny Harris (Becky), Carolyn Butler (Bobby), Burnis Hackney (Poppy) and Bradley McDonald; and his pets, Sissy and Missy. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
