She was predeceased by: her parents, William Reese Cummins and Louie Bell Holt Cummins; her former husband Elmer Lewis Davis; her husband James Thomas Brooks; her children, Gary Noel Davis, Cheryl Brooks (Jay) and Darryl Lewis Davis; and her siblings, William R. Cummins, Harold E. Cummins, Charles W. Cummins, Wade Cummins and Faye O. Burton.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Y. Webb; and her sister Karen Chaney (William). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ms. Brooks memory to the Adams Avenue Church of Christ.
