He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ashby and Geraldine Ashby; his siblings, Roger Ashby, Tyrone Ashby, John Ashby, Mike Ashby, Bill "Butch" Ashby, Karen Frazier and Gladys Hart; and his brothers-in-law, Dave Carter, Bud Hart, David Cushing and Donald Tomlinson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ashby.
