He is survived by: his sister Linda Major McBride; his niece Ashley Smith (Doug); his nephews, Mark McBride and Todd McBride; his great-niece Faith Smith; his significant other Fran Martin; and his close friends, Teresa Lester (Kevin), Kason Lester and Mitchell Lester.
Jim "Buckwheat" Major, former Wilson County Trustee and warrior for Wilson County TN elderly and needy, passed from this life on August 10, 2026 after a long and difficult fight with Parkinson's disease.
