She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ridley Chaffin and Roxie Pippin Chaffin; her husband Howard Donald Bains; her siblings, Dorothy Chaffin, Mildred Woodard, Evelyn Bush, Lois Tomlinson, Donald, Glenn and Dalton Chaffin; and her daughter-in-law Joyce Bains.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Billington (Tom) of Hiwassee and Phillip Bains of Hiwassee; her grandchildren, Kristina Kirby (Daniel) of Gladeville, Daniel Bains (Lesa) of Carthage, Susan Reeder (Jeremy) of Carthage and Julianne Thomason (John) of Lynnville; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Austin Kirby, Boone, Jovie Thomason, Kendall Bains, Conner, Braden Hughes, Hannah Clayton and Evie Reeder; and her sister-in-law Patty Chaffin of Lebanon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Lebanon, TN 37087). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Bethlehem Cemetery.
