He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Hooper" Mason (Buck) and Molly Evelyn Mason; and his stepdaughter Patti Dampier. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Mason; his siblings, Jerry Mason and Debbie Williams (Mark); his children, Tyler Mason (Traci), Haley Hill (Darin) and Patience Mason; his stepdaughter Melissa Johnson (Terry); and his grandchildren, Colton Mason, Christine Dampier (Dew), Katie Mason, Avery and Riley Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Because Terry had a true heart for children, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis.
